CompareTiers is an independent SaaS pricing comparison platform that helps teams evaluate, compare, and choose the right software tools without the guesswork.

Our Mission

Buying software should not require hours of tab-switching, sales calls, and hunting for pricing pages that hide behind "Contact Sales" buttons. Our mission is to give every team — from solo founders to enterprise buyers — access to transparent, up-to-date pricing data so they can make informed purchasing decisions with confidence.

We believe that when pricing is clear and comparable, buyers win. Competition improves products and keeps costs honest. CompareTiers exists to make that transparency the default, not the exception.

What We Do

CompareTiers tracks pricing data for 500+ software tools across 14 categories — from project management and CRM to developer tools, analytics, and customer support. Our platform lets you:

• Browse the catalog — search and filter tools by category, pricing model, or feature set
• Compare side-by-side — select any two tools and see their full tier breakdowns in a structured comparison view
• Save comparisons — bookmark your research for later or share links with your team
• Track price changes — Pro subscribers receive alerts when pricing changes on tools they follow

All comparisons are available to anyone — no account required. We keep comparisons open because we believe access to pricing information is a public good.

How It Works

1. Browse the catalog — Use search or category filters to find tools relevant to your use case. Each tool page shows a full tier breakdown with monthly and annual pricing.
2. Compare side-by-side — Select any two tools to generate a structured comparison. See plan names, prices, included features, and pricing model at a glance.
3. Make informed decisions — Use the data to shortlist options, calculate your team's costs, and click through to the tool's official pricing page before purchasing.

Our Data

Pricing data is collected through automated scraping of public pricing pages using Playwright, supplemented by manual verification for complex or frequently changing tools. We run full scrapes weekly and incremental updates for tools that signal pricing changes.

Every tool in our catalog shows a "last updated" timestamp so you always know how fresh the data is. For enterprise or custom pricing tiers that cannot be scraped from public pages, we clearly label those tiers as "Contact Sales" rather than inventing figures.

Vendors can claim their tool profile through our Vendor Verification program to ensure their pricing data is accurate. Verified profiles are labeled so you know the data comes directly from the vendor.

How We Make Money

We believe in being transparent about how we sustain the platform. Our revenue comes from three sources:

• Affiliate commissions — Many tool pages include affiliate links. When you click through and subscribe to a tool, we may earn a commission from the vendor at no extra cost to you. This is our primary revenue source and helps us keep comparisons free for everyone.
• Pro and Business subscriptions — Power users and teams who want unlimited saved comparisons, price change alerts, historical pricing data, and an ad-free experience can upgrade to a paid plan.
• Vendor services — SaaS vendors can claim and enhance their tool profiles to ensure accurate representation in our catalog.

Affiliate relationships do not influence the completeness or accuracy of our pricing data. We cover all major tools in each category regardless of whether an affiliate program exists.

Who We Are

CompareTiers is an independent project built by a small team of developers and SaaS analysts who got tired of spending too long researching software pricing. We are not backed by any SaaS vendor or investment group with a stake in which tools you choose.

Arthur Jacquemin (Founder & Lead Analyst) is a full-stack engineer and SaaS architect who built CompareTiers to bring transparency to software pricing. He covers developer tools, analytics, CRM, marketing automation, HR software, and all major SaaS categories with a focus on accurate pricing data and vendor negotiation insights.
