Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CompareTiers website at comparetiers.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

CompareTiers is a SaaS pricing comparison platform that lets users browse, compare, and save side-by-side pricing analyses of software tools. Pricing data is collected from publicly available sources and updated regularly.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

3. Free and Paid Plans

  • Free plan — unlimited comparisons, up to 3 saved comparisons, 5 stack items.
  • Pro plan ($19/mo) — unlimited saves, price alerts, historical pricing data, ad-free experience.
  • Team plan ($49/mo) — everything in Pro, plus team collaboration features.

Prices are in USD and may change with 30 days' notice. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

5. Pricing Data Accuracy

We strive to keep pricing data accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Pricing information is collected from public sources and may change without notice. Always verify pricing directly with the software vendor before making a purchase decision.

6. Affiliate Links

The Service contains affiliate links to third-party products. We may earn a commission when you purchase through these links, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our comparisons or rankings.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to build a competing product
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

8. API Access

API access is available under separate plans (Starter, Growth, Enterprise). API usage is subject to rate limits and fair use policies. API keys are personal and must not be shared.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CompareTiers and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Pricing data from third-party vendors remains the property of those vendors.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CompareTiers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from inaccurate pricing data or service interruptions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
