Freshsales is the sales layer of Freshworks' ecosystem, starting at EUR 9/month with progressively higher tiers. The EUR 9 entry is strong pricing. Pipedrive at EUR 14-79 is more expensive. But Freshsales assumes you'll also buy Freshdesk (EUR 15+) and other Freshworks modules eventually.
The Freshworks ecosystem pitch is integration depth. All tools talk to each other cleanly. If your team needs CRM, support, and helpdesk, Freshworks modules are simpler than assembling Pipedrive, Zendesk, and Help Scout.
But integration depth is a lock-in trap. You're paying for convenience at the cost of vendor lock-in. Pipedrive + Zendesk + Help Scout might cost more total, but you can swap Zendesk for something better if needed. Freshworks is all-in or out.
For a small team doing sales and basic support, Freshsales at EUR 9 is tempting. The moment you outgrow basic support or your team specializes, the module approach feels limiting.
Freshsales is Freshworks' sales module marketed as standalone. If you're going to use Freshworks ecosystem anyway, Freshsales at EUR 9 is fine. If you want a real standalone CRM, Pipedrive is stronger.
